The Ball Bearing is one of the two members of the class of rolling, or so-called antifriction, bearings (the other member of the class is the roller bearing). The function of a bearing is to connect two machine members that move relative to one another in such a manner that the frictional resistance to motion is minimal. The bearing is basically the rotating element which uses balls, rollers, needles etc, to maintain the separation between the bearing races. Bearing comes in a number of designs and it entirely depends upon the applications they are used for. The Ball Bearing is very useful and efficient.
